Time Lapse Interlude

Unfortunately there is no blog article this week relating to Global Health. I am currently in the process of writing an exam assignment for one of my modules: Prevention and Strategies in Health Promotion. However I recently received a second battery for my camera and decided to check out the longevity of the lifespan.

As a result , what was initially supposed to be a technical test, turned into a bit of observational fun. I subsequently created a one minute time lapse of the last days I have spent working on the assignment and there were a couple of interesting discoveries:

• I fidget quite a lot. I never really considered myself a fidgeter. You know the people who vigorously have to move their feet while sitting, or constantly shuffling in their chair ? Well It seems I have joined the exclusive club. 
• I seem to touch my face quite a lot. It seems I can not keep my hands away from my head, mouth, nose, eyes, chin. Maybe I exceed the average touches of 3-5 times a minute ? A haven for microorganisms no doubt. 
• Like many others,  distractions and pontification during the writing process is often inevitable. 

However the good news is that the first draft is in the bag, and still plenty of time to redraft and add the finishing touches. So until next week, enjoy this short fun video.
